NANO DAY 2!

Had a real productive writing day!  Went to my regional nano write-in, where fellow nano writers get together and write their word counts, the idea of multiple keyboards clicking away will inspire you to keep writing, it does work.  I’m off to my most productive Nano start in 4 years!  Good luck to all you Nanowrimos and keep your word count up!

1st Day Of Nano Done!

I have gotten off to  my best start yet to a nano novel.  4k in 1 day!  Now all I have to do is keep that up for the month and I should have no problem.  This current novel is a 2nd book of a fantasy trilogy, the 1st was written during Nano ‘07.  Good luck to all you fellow nano writers out there!!

Names! Names! & More names!

I’m putting together all my notes for my Nano novel this November and I’m having a hard time coming up with character names.  I have most of the plot ready but need names of new characters, some human some not, tavern names, street names etc.  I’ve got to spend some quality time with some name generators.

Anyone else out there have similar naming issues?

The Demise Of A Blog

I have sad news for all you Met’s fans out there.  My main baseball connection is no longer available.  Citimets, which I recommended on an earlier post has hung up his cleats and moved on to bigger and better projects.  Citimets – you will be missed.

The Rewrite

Now that I have another novel finished, thanks to Nanowrimo, I have to work on rewriting one of them. This will be a first as I am usually a first draft kind of writer.  I love writing the first draft but I need to polish them up a bit.  Any ideas out there??

ANOTHER NANO MONTH OVER!!

Well, Nanowrimo is over for 2008 and although I was a bout a week’s worth of word count behind, I finished the 50K challenge early this afternnon.  The book is not done so I have to finish the 1st draft, then I need to edit the book.

Congratulations to all you Nano winners out there, can’t wait until 2009!!

BEHIND!!

I’m so far behind in my word count for my Nano novel that I should not even be writing this post.  I’m like 11,000 words behind.  I know most of the plot but can’t find the energy to get it all wriitten down.  Hope to have a couple of big days and I’ll be right back on track.

Nano Progress

Well, it’s the second Saturday in Nano month and I’m a little over 8000 words behind the daily word target.  I should not hve any excuses but (no pun intended) I did have surgery on my butt, and it’s very uncomfortable to type not being able to sit down.  Also the pain meds (although they’re great for coming up with fantasy ideas) make me too drowsy to write. 

But i have never failed at Nano yet so onward and upward!

Back From The Hospital!

Okay, I’m back from the hospital, actually I came home on Saturday but was in too much pain to write any new posts, but thank God for Vicodin!  Only 5 days to go until Nano ‘08!  I hope I’m ready.  I have the first three to four scenes of the novel in my head but after that the muse better do its thing.  Good luck to all you other November novelists, I know your out there.  I’ll try and post the ups ans downs of writing a novel in 30 days.  After this is over I wanted to try and post a running story here, like a chapter a month or something and get some feedback from all of you.  But that will have to wait until at least December and I still need to come up with an idea.  For any sorts fans out there check out citimets24’s blog about all things Mets and other sports.
